Visiting the ballpark is one of the best parts of warmer weather, and we hope that after one Philly sports championship this year, the Phillies are next in line. Here’s a guide on how to make the most out of a day at Citizens Bank Park.

Get There Early

Not only does arriving early mean you’re more likely to skip traffic, it also gives you time to gallivant around the park, grab some snacks, and check out the history of the team. And if you have kiddos with you, there’s a 13,000-square-foot interactive kid’s baseball experience located near right field.

The Best Place To Sit

The seats right behind home plate are arguably the best for experiencing the game itself, but we honestly think there’s no bad place to sit at The Bank. Climb up to the upper deck (not literally) and you’ll get a great view of the entire park. Personally, we like to be fully immersed in baseball fandom, so opt for Ashburn Alley by the outfield where you can see both bullpens (and maybe gently heckle the visitors as they warm up).

What To Eat

Look, we don’t need to tell you about the Schwarburger. Either it lives in your heart or it doesn’t. If you’re not feeling burgers, there’s the new Schwarber-themed chicken cutlet sandwich to try. For something else to munch on, try the crab fries from Chickie's & Pete's near the Liberty Bell, or soft-serve ice cream from Old City Creamery behind section 110. For something more substantial, order the burnt-end cheesesteak from Bull’s BBQ in the Left Field Plaza, or a plant-based gyro from Greens & Grains behind section 125.

How To Get There

While there’s no shortage of parking lots to pick from, if you’re driving in and tailgating, a parking spot closest to the stadium will typically cost you $25.

You can get down to Citizens Bank Park on the Broad Street Line or bus routes 4 or 17 with a $2.50 base fare.
