The Gayborhood, which is set in the heart of Washington Square West, is Philly’s iconic LGBTQ community hotspot, filled with shopping, dining, and plenty of nightlife.

Barbuzzo is well known for its budino, a decadent pudding cup with salted caramel and chocolate. But before treating your palette to a sweet treat, customers can choose from wood-fired pizzas, handmade pasta dishes, colorful vegetables, and tons of seafood.

My favorite spot is Green Eggs Cafe. If you’re a brunch enthusiast like me, you have to try their blackberry cheesecake empanadas and apple pie french toast. The dishes are not only delicious, but extremely Instagram worthy.

As a hub for the LGBTQ social scene, the neighborhood offers several community events and spaces. During National Pride Month in June, thousands of people participate in the LGBTQ Pride Parade, which runs all the way to Broad Street and ends with a festival at Penn’s Landing. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
