Philly has a selection of wineries within a two-hour drive from the city. But sometimes you would rather lay on the couch with a glass of wine. Luckily, there’s a plethora of wine clubs — subscription services from wine bars and wineries — hooking up enthusiasts with specialty bottles and other exclusive perks. Here’s a few to start with.

Supérette | 1538 E. Passyunk Ave.

A newer addition to East Passyunk, this French market and wine bar is the perfect spot to grab a baguette and a bottle in one visit. Through its COUCOU Wine Club, you can subscribe to a monthly Party Pack, which includes two bottles, tasting notes, and recipe ideas for $75-a-month for six months. Or you could join the Collector’s Club, which gets you “show stoppers” for $125 each month.

Pray Tell | 1615 N. Hancock St.

A two-person operation in Olde Kensington, Pray Tell’s owners’ roots are in making wine on Philly streets and then exploring the trade across the country before returning home. Its wine club offers a curation of three bottles of Pray Tell wines per quarter. Prices range from $100 to $150 and perks include exclusive Pray Tell wine library access, invites to quarterly wine club release parties, and discounts.

Herman’s Coffee & Market | 1313 S. 3rd St.

You may know Herman’s for its coffee, but now it has a wine club. The South Philly coffee roaster launched its club back in March, giving shoppers an opportunity to try wines not featured on its shelves. You can receive two bottles a month for $75 or four for $125. On the first Monday of each month, swing by the pick-up party to get your wines and attend a tasting where the importer will educate guests.

Jet Wine Bar | 1525 South St.

Wine club members who join for $55 a month will receive two bottles a month, a members-only newsletter, merch, discounts, and access to table reservations at Jet’s wine garden in Graduate Hospital. If you want to take it up a notch, for $89 you can get the regular tier perks as well as a third exclusive bottle, cheeses to pair with your drink, and a birthday bottle of Cava.

Mural City Cellars | 1831 Frankford Ave.

Making wines with crops from farmers within 300 miles of the city, Mural City Cellars is keeping its offerings close to home. Based in Fishtown, its wine club offers three bottles per quarter for $75 along with a 15% discount at its bottle shop, members-only events, and a free glass on Member Mondays. Be sure to check out its events page for wine tastings and classes.
