Earlier this year, PETA named Philly the second-most vegan-friendly city in the U.S. Now, you can see the food scene making Philadelphia so special for yourself. From Friday, Oct. 24 to Saturday, Nov. 1, Philly Vegan Restaurant Week is spotlighting over a dozen local restaurants and pop-ups serving up deals and plant-based dinner parties. Here’s some of what to expect.

🇲🇽 Cantina Dos Segundos | 931 N. 2nd St.

Head to Northern Liberties for Mexican cuisine. Diners can enjoy roasted vegetable tostadas or pipían mole verde jackfruit enchiladas. Then, treat yourself at the end with a vegan cheesecake. For other vegan Mexican-style dishes, Taco & Ramen and Sor Ynez are also participating in the dining series.

🫓 Casa Blanca | 947 Federal St.

If you’re looking for an option that definitely won’t leave you hungry, feast on a four-course Mediterranean meal at Casa Blanca. For $45, enjoy family-style servings that include stuffed grape leaves, mujadara, and pistachio baklava. There must be a minimum of two guests to participate.

🍻 Chestnut Hill Brewing | 8221 Germantown Ave.

Come here for more than just the beer. Restaurant Week attendees can try small plates from beans on toast with whipped ricotta, gigandes beans, pickled chilies, and country loaf to tempura broccoli with sweet chili, peanuts, and scallions. If you’re looking for a larger plate, try a falafel burger or an autumn reginetti with butternut squash and pumpkin seeds.

🍣 Fat Salmon | 719 Walnut St.

Sushi may typically involve raw seafood, but you won’t miss it on this special menu. Fat Salmon will have a set menu priced at $37 which includes one appetizer and two rolls. Pick from appetizers including edamame and veggie gyoza and pair with rolls like Kimchi Ya (with yam tempura and housemade kimchi) or Beets Me (with beets, yam, pickled jalapeño and plum sauce.)

🍷 Fitz on 4th | 743 S. 4th St.

For $40, eat a three-course meal at this Queen Village staple. Diners get one small sharable plate, a salad, and a large-plate with fall ingredients perfect for the season. If you’re still craving more, you can add a dessert for $10 or three vegan-friendly wines for $30 to pair with each course.

La Llamita Vegan is hosting three dinner party experiences. Celebrate the fall bounty at a harvest dinner at Weaver’s Way on Oct. 18. On Oct. 23, honor your ancestors at a Día de los Muertos Celebration at Globe Dye Works in Frankford. Or, close out the restaurant week by participating in a breathwork experience using hatha style kriya and pranayama practices followed by a party on Nov. 1. A portion of ticket sales will benefit immigrant rights organization Juntos. Tickets for the dinners range from $65 to $125.
