Infatuation writers and editors live and breathe restaurants to give you honest, trustworthy recommendations about where to eat in Philly and around the world. Whether they're reviewing a new restaurant or a classic, the team always shows up unannounced, pays for everything, and calls it like they see it. Now they’re here to solve your dining dilemmas.
- Hello! My dilemma is I live in Northeast Philly- Fox Chase area. There are local diners we like, pizza places, Cafe Carmelo, and Gallos. All nice but I need something more with healthy food options! - Patricia
Even we need a break from diners and pizza places sometimes. When we’re in the Northeast and need something on the healthier side, we head to Bishos for the tangy Arab salad, grape leaves, and falafel wrap, House of Thai for the veggie-packed green coconut curry, and Al-Shami House for the fattoush salad with grilled chicken. Though you can probably find something reasonably healthy at a lot of our favorite places in the area.
- Looking for a place that emphasizes healthy cuisine. Mediterranean diet with low sugar non alcoholic beverages. - Robert
If Mediterranean cuisine is what you’re after, we have 15 of the city’s best spots right here, ranging from quick and cheap to special occasion. If you’re open to other cuisines, we have a great guide for healthy-ish options that includes West African, Japanese, and vegan options.
- I have a work colleague coming into the city who wants to experience THE best traditional Philly cheesesteak. I’m looking for taste and experience. Thank you! - Lo
The best cheesesteak in Philly is from Angelo’s, a tiny shop in Bella Vista. But it’s almost always packed, and you and your colleague probably don’t want to wait several hours to eat. Instead, head to Jim’s on South Street for the iconic cheesesteak experience in one of Philly’s must-see neighborhoods.
