Philly has plenty of unique and vibrant cafes, but one of the best has to be Càphê Roasters, the city’s first Vietnamese roastery which opened in Kensington last October.
Càphê is a full-service cafe where caffeine enthusiasts can indulge in strong Vietnamese lattes, oolong tea, and matcha.
Customers can also order banh mi, bibimbap with broken rice, or Kimchee’s fried rice (based on the character from the Netflix show “Kim’s Convenience.”)
The roastery uses beans imported from Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and other Southeastern Asian countries. Owner of Càphê Roasters, Thu Pham, partners with the local education nonprofit 12 Plus. She donates a portion of her profits to the organization, and hires Philly and Camden school students to work in the shop.
