David Wesolowski, aka Dave Wez, is a local food blogger and host of "Feeding Time TV." City Cast Philly asked Dave how to have the best food adventures this season. Bon appétit! 🦪

What food do you crave the most during Philly summers?

“I like to do a combo: root beer, water ice, and vanilla ice cream. But I also love the original flavors. I love cherry, lemon, and pineapple. There isn’t a bad flavor, to be honest. When I’m in South Philly, I usually head over to Angelo’s Pizzeria, and then I'll get my water ice at John’s.”

Where should we go to get good seafood?

“Definitely check out Oyster House. They have $2 oysters there and they have a happy hour program, which is really tasty. I was just at Gaul and Company in Port Richmond, and they do seafood Wednesdays and they do a ‘Buck a Shuck’ deal.”

What should we bring to a cookout and where can we get the best BBQ?

“Bring a protein like marinated chicken, or marinated beef, and season it. I also like doing skewers too, because they cook faster, and they’re already marinated. You just pull them out of the Ziploc bag and put them on the barbecue. Or you could get a great burger at Mike's BBQ in South Philly.”

Hear more of Dave’s recommendations and take your cuisine explorations to the next level this summer. [City Cast Philly 🎧]
