Whether or not you can call Philadelphia a “pizza city” is certainly a matter of debate, but there’s no denying that there are great places to find amazing pies scattered throughout the city and region.

Hey Philly offered a rundown of some of Philly’s top spots in a first volume — a pizza primer, if you will — a few months ago. Now, we’ve cooked up a part two, brought to you by Hey Philly readers who shared their faves with us.

Here are a few spots that come fervently recommended:

Far Northeast

Hey Philly reader Michael T. is a fan of this shop, which has stuck around for five generations. Original Charlie's puts their whole sliced mozzarella cheese under the sauce and toppings, all atop a thin and crispy crust.

East Falls

Enjoy some wood-fired pizza on the banks of the Schuylkill at this pizzeria specializing in Neapolitan-style pies. “Love the crust and the creative toppings are simply delicious,” says Hey Philly reader Anne W.

East Kensington

This shop is a go-to “for a classic and NYC competitive slice on the go,” says Hey Philly reader Bindi P. They also serve full pies, cheesesteaks, quesadillas, and more.

Center City

Randye S. recommends this two-floor, family-owned BYOB spot, which serves up personal and 18-inch pies, grandmom pizza, vegan pies, chicken-topped pizzas, and more.

Wissahickon

Michelle Q. recommends this spot housed inside Lucky’s Trading Co., where you can order New Haven-inspired apizza — a Connecticut-born crispy, charred-crust style of pizza with tangy sauce — for takeout.

Locations in South Philly and West Philly

Kris J. advises tasting the round pie for the “aromatic sauce, crispy bottom, and a cheese blend that’s just salty enough.” Kris says: “I’ve had it many times and the next pie is always better than the last.” You can find the same style of pizza at Circles and Squares, which appeared in our first pizza roundup!

🍕 Thank you to everyone who shared their recs. HOWEVER! We’re not done yet. For an upcoming part three in our ’za series: Do you have a favorite pizza shop in the suburbs that’s worth making the trip for? Hit reply and tell me all about it!

What’s your favorite slice in the ’burbs? 🍕
