Step out into the sunshine and enjoy the best of Philly’s markets. Shop for everything from produce to street food to clothing to local artwork. There are many markets around the city, but here are a few to get you started.

Back at the Piazza is the Northern Liberties Farmers Market. If you missed out on the Farmers Market Block Party, not to worry. You can stop by the market every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1001 N. 2nd Street. Browse from over a dozen vendors from farmers to brewers to chocolatiers.

Did you want to go to the farmers market but accidentally sleep in? In South Philly, there’s a market for the later-in-the-day shoppers. The Point Breeze Community Market is open every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., shutting down 1300 Point Breeze Avenue. From conchas to t-bone steaks, homemade relish to wine, there’s plenty to find. The market now accepts SNAP and EBT on grocery items.

Rain or shine, the East Falls Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4100 Ridge Avenue. Nestled right under the Twin Bridges, the market sells fresh groceries and goods from local artisans. Be sure to check out its website weekly to see which vendors will be attending. If you go, you can listen to the musical stylings of local performers while you shop.

What’s better than one market? Two markets! Both marketplaces are located at FDR Park on the weekends. Between April and June, you can find the Southeast Asian Market by the park’s Broad Street exit, and next to the baseball fields between July and October. The market’s open Saturday and Sunday from 10-6 p.m. but during the summer, some vendors may stick around a little later. The Latino Market is open on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is located near FDR Skatepark. Both markets sell food from their respective cultures as well as clothing, plants, and other wares. Be sure to bring a picnic blanket with you!

Returning on May 11 is the Schuylkill River Park Farmers Market. Pick up fresh flowers, produce, and baked goods from local vendors. The market is open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This bazaar may be a little bizarre, but in a good way! The West Philly Bizarre takes place on multiple Saturdays from April to November, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Clark Park. The market gives an opportunity for underserved communities to share their unique crafts, artwork, and goods.

This market likes to stay on the move! The Now+Then Marketplace appears here and there, spotlighting Philly businesses and makers. Check out its website to see its latest listings, as the market sets up all across Philly and is often part of larger events and festivals.
